Pedestrian Killed in Sacramento Crash at Meadowview and Red Willow
SACRAMENTO, CA (October 27, 2022) – A crash at Meadowview Road and Red Willow Street killed a pedestrian in South Sacramento.
According to an article published by the ABC 10 News, the accident took place on Thursday. Officers reported the collision in the evening of October 27.
The Sacramento Fire Department said the incident happened when a vehicle struck a male pedestrian for an unknown reason in the city.
Man Hit by Vehicle
The driver hit him at the intersection of Meadowview Road and Red Willow Street. Firefighters along with the then paramedics arrived and found the man down on the ground.
Medical personnel soon pronounced the victim dead at the scene. His name has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, police added that occupants of the vehicle ended up unharmed following the accident. Officers forced the area of Meadowview and Red Willow to shut down for a time after the collision.
The cause of the fatal Sacramento pedestrian crash is still under investigation.
