Woman Killed in Sacramento Hit-and-Run at El Camino Avenue and Clay Street
SACRAMENTO, CA (May 16, 2021) – A hit-and-run crash killed a pedestrian at El Camino Avenue and Clay Street in Sacramento.
According to The Sacramento Bee and KCRA News, the tragic accident occurred on Saturday night. Officers reported the collision at around 10:30 p.m.
The incident happened on May 15 when a vehicle struck a female pedestrian walking in the Old North Sacramento neighborhood. The driver hit her at the intersection of El Camino Avenue and Clay Street.

Firefighters along with the paramedics responded and found the woman left lying on the ground. She sustained major injuries as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel soon pronounced the victim dead at the scene. Her name has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, police said the motorist involved did not stop to render aid to the woman and fled the area. Authorities are still searching for the suspect.
Officials forced the intersection of El Camino and Clay to close for a time following the collision. The fatal Sacramento hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
