Rider, 21, Killed in Traffic Collision on Business 80 Saturday
Sacramento, CA (July 3, 2021) – A man riding a scooter suffered fatal injuries following a traffic accident that occurred on Business 80 early Saturday, the ABC10 News reported.
Authorities said a 21-year-old man was operating an electric scooter traveling north on Business 80. For reasons still unclear, a Nissan Altima, also heading north on Business 80, struck the scooter rider. The catastrophic incident took place just to the south of the American River Bridge.
Per article published online, passing motorists failed to avoid and run over the body lying on the road.

Emergency teams arrived at the location shortly after 3 a.m. Our sources indicated the scooter rider succumbed to his injuries and sadly died at the scene. Pending confirmation and notification of next of kin, the identity of the deceased remained undisclosed.
The Nissan driver reportedly pulled over following the collision. However, no immediate information was available on the other motorists involved in the horrible crash.
Investigators continue to work at this time to determine several factors surrounding the fatal scooter accident in Sacramento.
