1 Injured in Sacramento Hit-and-Run Crash on Southbound Highway 160
SACRAMENTO, CA (June 15, 2021) – At least one was injured after a hit-and-run crash on Highway 160 in Sacramento.
The California Highway Patrol dispatch team said the accident took place on Tuesday morning. According to their dispatch team, officers reported the wreck at about 4:36 a.m.
The incident began when a vehicle was traveling north on southbound Highway 160 in Sacramento. CHP said the wrong-way driver then slammed head-on into a white Cadillac Escalade.
Wrong-Way Crash Near Del Paso Boulevard
The two crashed near Del Paso Boulevard. Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived at the scene and found an occupant of the Cadillac hurt as a result of the collision.
The victim complained of pain to their leg. Medical personnel soon provided treatment to the victim for the unspecified injuries they sustained in the wreck.
Officials did not disclose the name of the wounded patient and their condition at this time. Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that the other motorist involved did not stop to render aid and fled the area.
Officers soon forced the southbound lanes of Highway 160 to shut down following the wreck. The Sacramento hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
