1 Injured in Sacramento Hit-and-Run Crash on Highway 50 Near Watt Avenue
SACRAMENTO, CA (September 13, 2021) – At least one was injured after a hit-and-run crash on Highway 50 near Watt Avenue in Sacramento.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch team, the accident took place late Monday afternoon. Officers reported the wreck at about 5:34 p.m.
CHP said a red Mustang and a white Cadillac sedan became involved in a non-contact hit-and-run crash in Sacramento. It happened on westbound Highway 50, just east of Watt Avenue.
2 Cars Involved
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene and found one person left wounded as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then provided treatment to the patient for the unspecified injuries they sustained in the incident. Officials did not release the name of the victim and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that one of the drivers involved did not stop to help and fled the area. Officers forced the westbound lanes of Highway 50 near Watt to shut down following the wreck.
The cause of the Sacramento hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
