At Least 1 Hurt in Collision on Elvas Freeway Thursday
Sacramento, CA (August 27, 2021) – On August 26, Thursday, a suspected hit-and-run crash occurred in the area of Interstate 80 and P Street.
The California Highway Patrol group reported a black Mercedes van collided with several other cars in the southbound side of I-80, also known as Elvas Freeway. Officials described the other automobiles involved in the wreck as a white pickup truck, and a gray Honda HR-V.
CHP logged the incident at about 3:31 p.m.
When medical personnel arrived, they immediately checked the conditions of all parties found at the scene. Authorities later confirmed one person broke their arm as a result of the wreck. Pending confirmation, the name of the victim and their condition at this time remained undisclosed.

Investigators later mentioned the driver of the Mercedes fled the scene on foot after the crash. At this time, detectives continue to identify and locate the hit-and-run suspect.
Detectives assigned to handle the case continue to work at this time to determine several factors surrounding the hit-and-run car crash on Interstate 80 in Sacramento.
