At Least 1 Hurt in Traffic Collision on Highway 50 Tuesday
Sacramento, CA (October 5, 2021) – The California Highway Patrol group reported a hit-and-run crash that occurred on U.S. Route Highway 50 Tuesday evening.
Initial records indicated two vehicles, including a big rig, collided in the eastbound side of the highway in Sacramento. Officials said the accident took place near Watt Avenue offramp.

Shortly after 9 p.m., emergency crews arrived at the crash site and found only one vehicle. The CHP dispatch mentioned the big rig fled the scene before police arrived.
Responding medical personnel immediately rendered aid to all possible victims. After the evaluation, authorities confirmed at least one person suffered injuries as a result of the wreck. The name of the victim and the extent of their trauma have not been revealed thus far.
Meanwhile, no immediate information was available on the driver of the truck. Investigators continue to work at this time to identity and locate the hit-and-run suspect in the car crash on State Route Highway 50.
