SACRAMENTO, California (December 9, 2016) – A bicyclist identified as Jose Felix Ortiz Plascencia, 47, of Sacramento, was killed in a suspected hit-and-run crash in the Gardenland neighborhood early Friday morning, according to The Sacramento Bee.
The collision was reported about 5:30 a.m. in the area of Northgate Boulevard and Bridgeford Drive.
As per the article, Sacramento police disclosed that Mr. Plascencia had been crossing Northgate Boulevard when he was struck by multiple vehicles.
The 47-year-old man was tragically pronounced dead at the scene.
Meanwhile, police affirmed that at least one motorist who struck the cyclist failed to stop and fled the scene. Sacramento police officials encourage anyone with information to come forward.
