Motorcyclist Injured in Crash on US 50 at I-5 Freeway
SACRAMENTO, Calif. (August 14, 2024) — A major injury motorcycle accident happened Wednesday on Highway 50 in Sacramento, just east of Interstate 5.
The traffic accident occurred in westbound lanes at around 2:17 p.m. on August 14th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials reported the rider went down in the fast lane. The motorcyclist reportedly suffered a broken leg. Four other motorists stopped in the center divide, but it’s unknown how many if any were involved.
Paramedics transported the injured motorcycle rider to a hospital.
Investigators are working on the case to determine fault.
