Major Injury Collision Near Hood Franklin Road Offramp
Sacramento, CA (June 12, 2022) – At least one person suffered injuries following a traffic crash that occurred on Interstate 5, also known as West Side Freeway.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch, a motorcycle rider collided with another vehicle in the southbound side of I-5. Officials later described the car involved in the wreck as a gray Kia Sorrento.
The accident took place near the Hood Franklin Road offramp.
Rider Hospitalized After Accident on Interstate 5 in Sacramento
Emergency crews arrived at the location shortly after 12:49 p.m. The CHP log mentioned responding paramedics found the motorcyclist with injuries. An ambulance transported the patient to the hospital for treatment of major trauma. Personal information on the victim remained undisclosed pending confirmation.
Detectives handling the case continue to investigate exactly how and why the crash happened on Interstate 5 in Sacramento.
