Motorcycle Rider Hurt in 3-Vehicle Crash Near Sacramento International Airport
SACRAMENTO, Calif. (June 22, 2021) — A Sacramento motorcycle accident happened Tuesday afternoon near the airport on the Interstate 5 Freeway.
The major injury crash happened about 3:40 p.m. on June 22nd at the Airport Boulevard off ramp, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The drivers of a red Chevrolet pickup truck, a grey Volkswagen Passat and the motorcycle collided due to unknown reasons.
Major Injury Sacramento Motorcycle Crash
The rider went down on the right shoulder during the collision. The person was in the grassy area next to the roadway. The CHP report did not mention what led up to the motorcycle accident near the Sacramento airport.
However, paramedics with the Sacramento Fire Department responded to the scene due to major injuries. At least one person was transported to a hospital in critical condition.
Meanwhile, authorities seek to determine the cause of the crash and liability.
