Motorcycle Rider Seriously Injured in Sacramento Crash on Northbound Interstate 5
SACRAMENTO, CA (April 21, 2021) – A motorcycle rider was seriously injured after a crash along the Interstate 5 in Sacramento.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch team, the accident occurred early Wednesday. Officers reported the wreck at about 2:46 a.m.
CHP said a black Toyota Prius and the motorcyclist collided for an unknown reason. The two crashed on the northbound Interstate 5 near the Garden Highway off-ramp in Sacramento.

Firefighters along with the paramedics soon responded to the scene. They found the motorcycle rider suffering from major injuries as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then took the patient to the UC Davis Medical Center for treatment. Officials did not release the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP did not mention if the driver of the Toyota ended up hurt or if they stopped after the wreck. Officers forced all northbound lanes of the I-5 to close for half an hour following the collision.
Authorities are still determining the cause of the Sacramento motorcycle crash.
