SACRAMENTO (September 20, 2016)- According to the Sacramento Bee, a deadly hit-and-run collision between a pedestrian and a vehicle was reported early Tuesday morning at Meadowview Road and Coral Gables Court.
The incident took place at roughly 6:30 a.m. near 24th Street.
Police officials disclosed that the driver of a pickup truck collided with a 17-year-old girl identified as Onaya Davis and fled the scene.
Limited information has been provided at this time, however, the Davis tragically suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
No information has been released at this time regarding the hit-and-run vehicle as the Sacramento Police Department handles the investigation.
