Pedestrian Seriously Injured in Sacramento Crash on Florin Road Near Greenhaven
SACRAMENTO, CA (December 7, 2021) – A pedestrian was seriously injured after a crash on Florin Road in the Pocket neighborhood of Sacramento.
According to the FOX 40 News and KCRA News, the accident took place on Tuesday morning. Officers reported the collision shortly before 10 a.m.
The incident happened when a vehicle struck the pedestrian for an unknown reason on Florin Road in Sacramento. The driver hit the person near Greenhaven Drive and South Land Park.
Victim Hit by Car
Police added that a car slammed into the back of a trailer hauled by a pickup truck in the area. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene.
Medical personnel found the victim who sustained serious injuries as a result of the collision. They rushed the patient to a hospital for treatment.
The reports did not disclose the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time. Meanwhile, police did not mention if the motorist stopped and stayed at the site after hitting the victim.
Officers forced a stretch of Florin Road to shut down following the collision. The cause of the Sacramento pedestrian crash is still under investigation.
