Pedestrian Seriously Injured in Sacramento Crash Near Fruitridge and Stockton
SACRAMENTO, CA (June 22, 2021) – A crash seriously injured a pedestrian near Fruitridge Road and Stockton Boulevard in Sacramento.
The California Highway Patrol dispatch team said the accident took place on Tuesday afternoon. Officers reported the incident at about 4:55 p.m.
CHP said a gray Nissan sedan struck the pedestrian for an unknown reason in Sacramento. The driver hit the person near the intersection of Fruitridge Road and Stockton Boulevard.
Victim Hit by Car in Sacramento
Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived at the scene and soon found the victim down on the ground. The pedestrian sustained major injuries as a result of the Sacramento collision.
Medical personnel then took the wounded party to a hospital for treatment. Officials did not release the name of the party and their condition at this time.
The driver of the car stopped and stayed at the site after hitting the pedestrian. Meanwhile, CHP forced the westbound lanes of Fruitridge near Stockton to close following the crash.
Authorities are still determining the cause of the collision.
