Major Injury Crash on Highway 50 in Sacramento
SACRAMENTO, Calif. (Jan. 23, 2024) — A major injury pedestrian accident happened Tuesday morning in Sacramento on the eastbound transition road to Highway 50, just east of Highway 99.
A driver in a gray Toyota Yaris struck the victim in the No. 1 lane of the transition road at around 5:51 a.m. on Jan. 23rd, according to a California Highway Patrol dispatch.
Paramedics with the Sacramento Fire Department responded and located the injured pedestrian down between the No. 1 lane and the center divider. They transported the injured pedestrian to a hospital for treatment of major injuries.
Meanwhile, investigators are working on the cause of the pedestrian accident on Highway 50 to determine fault.
