Pedestrian Injured in Sacramento Accident at L Street and 12th Street
SACRAMENTO, CA (June 4, 2021) – A pedestrian was hospitalized after an accident at L Street and 12th Street in Sacramento.
The California Highway Patrol first logged the incident on Friday afternoon. According to their dispatch team, officers reported the crash at about 12:53 p.m.
CHP said a vehicle hit the pedestrian for an unknown reason in Sacramento. The driver involved struck the person at the intersection of L Street and 12th Street.
Victim Hit by Vehicle Near Capitol Park
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon responded to the scene near the California State Capitol Park. They found the victim who ended up injured as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then took the patient to the UC Davis Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries. Officials did not release the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP did not confirm if the motorist stopped and stayed at the site after hitting the victim. Officers forced the area of L Street and 12th Street to close following the pedestrian accident.
Authorities are still determining the cause of the Sacramento collision.
