Pedestrian Seriously Injured Sacramento Crash Near Mack Road and Archean Way
SACRAMENTO, CA (July 23, 2021) – A pedestrian was seriously injured after a crash near Mack Road and Archean Way in Sacramento.
According to the CBS Sacramento and FOX 40 News, the accident took place on Friday morning. Officers reported the incident at around 4 a.m.
Sacramento police said a vehicle struck the pedestrian for an unknown reason. The driver hit the person near the intersection of Mack Road and Archean Way.
Victim Hit by Vehicle
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene and found the victim who sustained major injuries as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then took the patient to a hospital for treatment. Officials did not release the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, police affirmed that the driver stopped and stayed at the site after hitting the victim. Officers forced Mack Road to shut down between Franklin Boulevard and Brookfield Drive following the crash.
The cause of the Sacramento pedestrian collision is still under investigation.
