Pedestrian Seriously Injured in Sacramento Hit-and-Run on Stockton Boulevard
SACRAMENTO, CA (June 17, 2021) – A pedestrian was seriously injured after a hit-and-run crash on Stockton Boulevard in south Sacramento.
The Sacramento Bee and ABC 10 News wrote that the collision took place on Thursday afternoon. Officers reported the crash at around 12 p.m.
The Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office said a vehicle struck the pedestrian for an unknown reason. The motorist hit the person in the 7000 block of Stockton Boulevard between 65th Street and Florin Road.
Victim Hit by Car Near Shopping Center
Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived at the scene near the Walmart Supercenter and a Wells Fargo branch. They soon found the victim left suffering from serious injuries as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then took the patient to a hospital for treatment. Officials did not disclose the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, deputies affirmed that the driver of the car did not stop to render aid and fled the area. Authorities are still searching for the suspect.
Officers forced a portion of Stockton Boulevard to shut down for a time following the crash. The cause of the Sacramento hit-and-run collision is still under investigation.
