4 Injured in Crash at Franklin Boulevard and 47th Avenue
Sacramento, CA (October 7, 2022) – Several people suffered major injuries following a suspected DUI crash that occurred in the area of Franklin Boulevard and 47th Avenue.
The ABC10, and KCRA3 News reported police spotted a reckless driver at the intersection of Franklin Boulevard and 52nd Street. Officers then launched a pursuit on the allegedly intoxicated driver.
When the chase reached the crossing of Franklin and 47th, the suspect ended up crashed into another car. Authorities added the suspect also struck a female pedestrian walking in the area. The crash took place shortly before 1 p.m.
Emergency crews responded to the accident scene and rendered aid to all possible victims. According to the article published online, all three occupants of the struck vehicle sustained minor injuries. Meanwhile, the pedestrian reportedly suffered serious injuries and had to be transported to a hospital.
Officials believed the driver of the pursued vehicle was under the influence of alcohol or drugs when the collision happened.
Further investigation is ongoing on the crash that happened at Franklin Boulevard and 47th Avenue in Sacramento.
