Man Injured in Sacramento Hit-and-Run on Airport Boulevard Near Terminal A
SACRAMENTO, CA (September 18, 2021) – A pedestrian was hospitalized after a hit-and-run crash on Airport Boulevard near a terminal in Sacramento.
The California Highway Patrol said the accident took place on Saturday afternoon. According to their dispatch, officers reported the incident at about 3:08 p.m.
CHP said a vehicle struck a male pedestrian for an unknown reason in Sacramento. The driver hit him at 6850 Airport Boulevard near the Terminal A.
Elderly Pedestrian Hit by Vehicle
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene and found the elderly man hurt. He complained of pain to his back as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then took the victim to the Woodland Memorial Hospital for treatment of minor injuries. Officials did not release the name of the wounded patient and his condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that the motorist did not stop to render aid to the man and fled the area. Officers forced a stretch of Airport Boulevard near the terminal to close following the collision.
The cause of the Sacramento hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
