As per the article, California Highway Patrol responded to a report of a traffic collision at 10:07 p.m., and found a man with fatal injuries after he was struck by a vehicle while crossing the street.
The victim, described as a black male age 60 or older, died at the scene. His name has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, the driver involved did not stop to render aid and fled the scene. The suspect car, apparently a silver or grey Lexus, was last seen going eastbound on 47th Avenue.
Fox 40 said the Lexus has tinted windows and a dent in the right front bumper.
