SACRAMENTO (June 24, 2016)- According to a report done by the California Highway Patrol, a pedestrian was fatally injured in a collision by a vehicle Friday afternoon at 43rd Avenue and Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard.
The report came in at 12:52 p.m. when a garbage truck struck an unidentified pedestrian.
The Sacramento Fire Department was notified and rushed to the scene only to sadly pronounce the victim dead at the scene.
At this time, no specifics have been released regarding the collision and the events which took place leading up to the accident.
