SACRAMENTO (February 17, 2017)- According to the Sacramento Bee, a deadly pedestrian versus auto collision took place Thursday evening at the intersection of Marysville Boulevard and Roanoke Avenue.
The article disclosed that the collision occurred at around 7:18 p.m.
Per the coroner, Ronald Johnson, 62, of Sacramento, had been crossing the intersection within the means of a marked crosswalk before being struck by a vehicle headed northbound on Marysville.
Johnson sadly succumbed to his injuries shortly after the collision despite life-saving efforts.
Both the Sacramento Police Department and the Sacramento Fire Department were dispatched to the scene of the accident.
Authorities confirmed the driver of the involved vehicle did remain at the scene and was cooperative.
