SACRAMENTO (March 3, 2017)- According to the Sacramento Bee, Ramon Flores, 89, of Sacramento, has been identified as the victim fatally struck following a hit-and-run Wednesday evening at 2222 Northgate Boulevard.
Police officials responded to the scene of the incident involving a pedestrian and an SUV at roughly 6:50 p.m.
The victim, Flores, incurred major injuries and was rushed to a trauma center where he sadly died a short while later after being admitted.
Meanwhile, police officials confirmed the driver of the vehicle failed to remain at the scene and proceeded to flee and is still at large as of Friday afternoon.
Sacramento PD will handle the investigation and encourage anyone with information on the suspect to come forward.
