SACRAMENTO, California (Feb. 24, 2017) — A teenage girl identified as Sable Harris, 17, of Red Bluff, has been identified as the victim fatally struck by a vehicle Thursday evening on Madison Avenue near I-80.
The collision took place about 11:21 p.m., according to the California Highway Patrol dispatch team.
The driver of a maroon Ford pickup truck allegedly struck the Sable Harris tragically causing fatal injuries to the young victim.
Police officials did indeed confirm the driver of the pickup truck remained at the scene and was cooperative with authorities while the truck involved was towed for evidence.
The Sacramento County Sheriff-Coroner responded to the scene and police are heading the investigation and looking into liability.
