SACRAMENTO, California (February 16, 2017) – A pedestrian man identified as Steven Chilcott, 61, of Sacramento, was killed in an alleged hit-and-run collision at Richards Boulevard and North Seventh Street on Thursday evening, according to The Sacramento Bee.
The accident was reported at 7:26 p.m.
As per the article, Sacramento police affirmed that Chilcott was struck by two vehicles. He was then transported to an area hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
Meanwhile, the driver of the first vehicle stopped and cooperated with the authorities, while the other motorist fled the scene. Officers will continue to gather more evidence and information and locate the hit-and-run suspect.
