SACRAMENTO (February 2, 2017)- According to the Sacramento Bee, Steven Smith, 35, of Sacramento, has been identified as the victim fatally struck following a motorcycle accident Wednesday evening.
The incident took place on Norwood Avenue near South Avenue at roughly 8:30 p.m.
Sources report that Steven Smith was the operator of a motorcycle turning onto Norwood from South Avenue before colliding with the driver’s side of a woman’s vehicle.
The 35-year-old Sacramento man sadly did not survive the crash and was pronounced at the scene.
The woman driver of the vehicle was injured and hospitalized with “moderate” injuries, the article added.
Sacramento police are investigating the accident as it remains unclear whether drugs or alcohol played a factor.
