
Multi-Vehicle Crash on SR-160/North 12th Street
SACRAMENTO, Calif. (August 9, 2023) — A Sacramento crash involving a wrong-way driver happened Wednesday morning on Lincoln Highway 160 near Richards Boulevard.
It happened around 5:35 a.m. on August 9th near the bridge over the the American River, according to the California Highway Patrol. A driver was reportedly traveling northbound in the southbound lanes of State Route 160 also known as Lincoln Highway and North 12th Street.
CHP officials reported a driver in a grey Dodge pickup truck collided with a grey Toyota Tacoma pickup truck and a sedan. Police noted the airbags deployed in at least two of the vehicles.
Additionally, the Sacramento Fire Department responded with paramedics to help those injured in the collision, but there are no further details at this time.
Meanwhile, tow trucks removed all three vehicles from the roadway.
Investigators are working on the case to determine fault for the Sacramento crash on Highway 160.
Finally, the case remains under investigation.
