Male Passenger Stuck in Vehicle on State Route 183
SALINAS, Calif. (August 22, 2024) — A two-vehicle car collision happened in Salinas California in Monterey County on Highway 183 also known as Castroville Road.
The major-injury traffic accident occurred at around 1:06 PM on Wednesday, August 21st 2024, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A white GMC pickup truck and a red Nissan Cube collided due to unknown circumstances on Highway 183 in Salinas, California. The Nissan became a large traffic hazard in the middle of the highway. CHP dispatchers also reported a male passenger was trapped inside the GMC pickup truck. It is unknown if the male passenger needed an extraction or not.
Meanwhile, the pickup truck rolled over and then landed five feet from the highway. It is unknown who had experienced a minor injury among the passengers involved. Two tow trucks were requested on the scene to remove the damaged vehicles from the highway.
Paramedics responded and transported at least one person with major injuries to Natividad Medical Center for treatment.
Investigators are working to determine who is at fault for the collision in Salinas California on Highway 183 in Monterey County.
