1 Seriously Injured in Salinas Crash on Highway 101 Near Sanborn Road
SALINAS, CA (April 27, 2022) – At least one was seriously injured after a car crash on Highway 101 near Sanborn Road in Salinas.
The California Highway Patrol dispatch team said the accident took place on Wednesday evening. Officers reported the wreck shortly after 6 p.m.
The incident happened when four vehicles collided for an unknown reason in Salinas. They crashed on southbound Highway 101, just north of near Sanborn Road.
Multiple Vehicles Collide
CHP described three of the cars as a black Honda Accord, a white Nissan sedan and a red truck. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene.
Medical personnel found one person who sustained major injuries as a result of the collision. They then took that patient to a hospital for treatment.
The report did not release the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time. Meanwhile, officers forced the southbound lanes of Highway 101 to shut down near Sanborn following the wreck.
The cause of the Salinas crash is still under investigation.
