Salinas: Deadly Pedestrian Accident on Highway 101 Near John Street

Man Hit and Killed by Vehicle Near John Street Offramp

Salinas, CA (September 24, 2022) – A deadly pedestrian accident occurred Saturday morning on State Route Highway 101, the KRON4 News reported.

Preliminary investigation revealed witnesses spotted an individual walking along the highway in Salinas around 5:49 a.m. In the area near John Street offramp, a passing vehicles accidentally struck the pedestrian. The make and model of the car involved in the wreck have not been revealed thus far.

When emergency crews arrived at the location, they immediately rendered aid to the victim. Paramedics performed life-saving measures to the injured party but they sadly succumbed to their injuries and eventually died. Pending confirmation and notification of next of kin, the identity of the deceased remained undisclosed.

Further investigation is ongoing on the deadly accident that happened on Highway 101 in Salinas.
