Teen Passenger, 19, Victim in DUI Crash
DATE OF COLLISION: Sunday, June 10th
June 11, 2018– According to KION 546 News, a deadly DUI crash left a teenager dead and two others badly hurt after a drunk driver collided with their vehicle on Highway 101.
At an unspecified time during the early stages of the morning, a 21-year-old behind the wheel of a Chevy Trailblazer had been traveling the wrong-way before crash head-on with a Mercedes near Airport Boulevard.
Inside the Mercedes was a driver and two passengers including a 19-year-old teenager. Their vehicle ultimately came to rest on its side on the shoulder leaving all occupants in serious condition.
According to the article, the 19-year-old teen who had not been identified by name of gender tragically suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Driver and Passenger Hospitalized at Natividad Med Center
Meanwhile, both the driver and second passenger were badly injured and rushed by ambulance to Natividad Medical Center. Both victims also remain unidentified.
21-Year-Old Arrested for DUI
Meanwhile, the 21-year-old driver of the Chevy was determined to have been under the influence and was subsequently arrested. The suspect has not been identified by name of gender either at this time.
