Two-Vehicle Crash on Espinosa Road in Salinas
SALINAS, Calif. (Oct. 7, 2022) — A head-on crash on Espinosa Road happened Friday morning, just west of Highway 101 in Salinas.
The Salinas crash on Espinosa Road occurred about 6:48 a.m. on Oct. 7th, according to a California Highway Patrol dispatch.
A driver in a red Honda reportedly traveling westbound and pulled out in front of an eastbound black Nissan Altima or Kia, the report said. The two vehicles collided head-on and airbags deployed, leaving at least one person pinned in their vehicle. The driver of the black vehicle reported they hit their head and felt dizzy. The caller told 911 operators the person had brain surgery a year ago.
Meanwhile, paramedics responded to help those hurt in the crash. CHP officials say the injuries are minor, but it’s unknown if anyone was transported to a hospital.
Meanwhile, tow trucks removed the red Honda from the roadway and the black Nissan or Kia.
Investigators are working on the case to determine fault.
