Mother, Baby Injured in Salinas Hit-and-Run Crash Near Blanco Road and Cooper Road
SALINAS, CA (MAY 28, 2021) – A hit-and-run crash injured a mother and her baby near Blanco Road and Cooper Road in Salinas.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch team, the wreck took place on Friday afternoon. Officers reported the accident at about 1:08 p.m.
CHP said a blue Chevrolet HHR and another vehicle collided for an unknown reason in Salinas. The two crashed near the intersection of Blanco Road and Cooper Road.
Driver Hits Another Car, Flees Scene
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon responded to the scene. They found the two occupants of the Chevrolet, a woman and her child, who ended up hurt as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then treated the victims for the unspecified injuries they sustained in the incident. Officials did not release their names and condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that the other driver of involved did not stop to render aid and fled the area. Officers forced the corner of Blanco and Cooper roads following the collision.
The Salinas hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
