Multi-Vehicle Collision on US-101 Saturday
Salinas, CA (September 11, 2021) – At least one person suffered injuries following a hit-and-run crash on Highway 101 Saturday evening.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch, multiple vehicles collided on the northbound lanes of the highway in Salinas. The accident took place near Vierra Canyon Road.
CHP logged the incident shortly before 8:30 p.m.
Earlier reports indicated the wreck involved as many as three automobiles. First responders found at the scene a Jeep truck rolled down the embankment along US-101. Officials added the incident resulted in major damage to the font left wheel of the Jeep.

When medical personnel arrived at the location, they immediately rendered aid to all possible victims. Our sources confirmed at least one person sustained trauma from the collision. Additional details on the injured party have not been discussed thus far.
Detectives assigned to handle the case continue to investigate several factors surrounding the hit-and-run crash in Salinas.
