2 Injured in Salinas Hit-and-Run Crash at Highway 183 and Davis Road
SALINAS, CA (September 9, 2021) – A hit-and-run crash injured two people at Highway 183 and Davis Road in Salinas.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch team, the accident occurred on Thursday afternoon. Officers reported the wreck at about 4:40 p.m.
The incident began when a vehicle struck two motorcycle riders in Salinas. CHP said the three collided on westbound Highway 183 at the Davis Road off-ramp.
Driver Hits Motorcycle Riders, Flees Scene
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene and found both motorcyclists left wounded as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then provided aid to the patients for the minor injuries they sustained in the wreck. Officials did not disclose the names of the victims and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that the driver who hit the riders did not stop to help and fled the area. They described the car as possibly black colored Audi sedan.
Officers forced westbound Highway 183 at Davis to shut down following the collision. The Salinas hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
