Pedestrian Severely Injured in Crash on South Main Street Near Salinas High School
SALINAS, CA (December 12, 2022) – A pedestrian was severely injured after a crash on South Main Street and Pine Street near the Salinas High School.
According to an article published by the KSBW News, the accident took place on Monday. Officers reported the collision in the afternoon of December 12.
The incident happened when a car struck the pedestrian for an unknown reason outside of the Salinas High School. The vehicle hit the person possibly on South Main Street, near Pine Street.
Victim Hit by Car
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene. They found the victim who sustained severe injuries as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then rushed the patient to a hospital for treatment. The report did not disclose the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, officials did not mention if the driver stopped or stayed at the site following the incident. Officers forced the northbound South Main Street to shut down in front of the school after the accident.
The cause of the Salinas pedestrian crash is still under investigation.
