Pedestrian Injured in Salinas Hit-and-Run at Sanborn Road and Freedom Parkway
SALINAS, CA (July 11, 2021) – A hit-and-run crash injured a pedestrian at Sanborn Road and Freedom Parkway in Salinas.
According to an article published by the KION News, the accident took place on Sunday morning. Officers forced the intersection of Sanborn Road and Freedom Parkway to close following the collision.
Salinas police said a vehicle struck the pedestrian for an unknown reason. The driver hit the person at the intersection of North Sanborn Road and Freedom Parkway.
Victim Hit by Vehicle
Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived at the scene and then found the victim left wounded as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel provided treatment to the patient for the unspecified injuries they sustained in the crash. Officials did not disclose the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, police affirmed that the motorist did not stop to help the person and fled the area. They are still searching for the suspect.
