SALINAS California (May 30, 2015) — A pedestrian suffered major injuries when they were struck by a car Saturday morning at the intersection of River and Corey roads, just south of Las Palmas Parkway in Monterey County, according to a dispatch by the California Highway Patrol.
The pedestrian accident was reported at 11:27 a.m. when the driver of a black Chrysler 300 struck the person at the intersection. Paramedics responded and transported the individual to a local hospital for treatment of major injuries.
Police are investigating the cause of the crash to determine liability.
