Traffic Accident Investigation
Police are going over the facts of this case and will piece together evidence in an effort to solve liability. There are many unanswered questions including whether the driver was traveling within speed limits or distracted. It’s unclear whether or not the pedestrian had the right-of-way, but even outside of a crosswalk a vehicle is supposed to yield to pedestrians under California law.
