2 Hurt in Fresno Truck, Car Crash on Olive Avenue
FRESNO, Calif. (Oct. 12, 2020) — Salvador Rodriguez, 31, and Ryan Wiggin, 26, were injured when their car crashed into the side of a semi-tractor trailer truck that turned in front of them at Olive and Sunnyside avenues just east of the E & J Gallo Winery in Fresno.
The crash was reported at 5:57 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 12th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The driver and passenger in the Toyota were trapped inside their car after the collision in southeast Fresno.
The CHP reported the car was traveling east on Olive Avenue the truck made a left turn from Sunnyside Avenue onto Olive in a westbound direction. The driver of the car was unable to avoid crashing into the trailer of the big rig.
The CHP stated that two men who were in the car suffered major injuries and were transported to the hospitals. The driver of the truck was uninjured.
Alcohol or drugs do not appear to be a factor in the crash the CHP said. The CHP incident number is 00102.
