Palm Desert Man, 80, Killed in 2-Vehicle Collision
PALM DESERT, Calif. (May 15, 2024) — Sam Karagavoorian, 80, died Saturday in a crash involving a golf cart and a vehicle on Mojave Sage Street and Bonanza Drive in Palm Desert.
The two-vehicle collision occurred at around 2:30 p.m. on May 11th, according to the California Highway Patrol and News Channel 3.
CHP officials responded to the crash scene in the Sun City Palm Desert neighborhood.
The golf cart reportedly collided with a vehicle at the four-way intersection in this private county club community.
Paramedics responded and transported the injured man to Desert Regional Medical Center in Rancho Mirage, but an hour later the man died at the hospital.
Sam Karagavoorian, 80, of Palm Desert, was later identified by the Riverside County Sheriff Coroner.
