Samuel Brown Killed in Hollywood Boulevard Pedestrian Crash

HOLLYWOOD, Calif. (Oct. 5, 2026) — Samuel Brown, 33, was fatally struck by a vehicle Sunday night while crossing Hollywood Boulevard in Hollywood, authorities said.
The collision happened at approximately 10:56 p.m. at Cherokee Avenue, according to the Los Angeles Police Department. Brown was reportedly in a marked crosswalk when he was hit.
The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the victim as Brown but did not release his place of residence.
The deadly crash occurred in the heart of Hollywood’s tourist district, where pedestrians were walking along the Hollywood Walk of Fame at the time.
Police arrested the female driver involved in the collision on suspicion of driving under the influence. Authorities have not released additional details about the circumstances that led to the crash.
Video recorded at the scene showed paramedics performing CPR on Brown in an effort to save his life. Despite emergency efforts, he died from his injuries at the scene.
A white SUV or sedan with extensive front-end damage was stopped nearby.
The investigation remains ongoing.
