SAN DIEGO: Pedestrian Hit-and-Run on Knoxville Street in Bay Park
SAN DIEGO, California (March 12, 2017) – A pedestrian was seriously injured after a suspected hit-and-run accident in the Bay Park neighborhood Saturday night, according to UT San Diego.
The collision took place at 6:40 p.m. on Knoxville Street near Morena Boulevard.
As per the article, San Diego police said a man in his 60s was on Knoxville Street when he was struck by a vehicle which had just pulled out of a trailer park.
The victim was taken to the hospital with a fractured skull and other injuries considered as life-threatening. His name and condition at this time remained unknown.
Meanwhile, police affirmed that the driver involved fled the scene. The suspect car was described as a silver or gray 2003 Nissan Altima with damage to its the right front side.
The motorist was identified as possibly a Latino man in his 20’s, 5 feet 6 inches tall, thin, with black hair, wearing a dark blue baseball cap and a white T-shirt.
