SAN BERNARDINO, California (May 5, 2014) — Two people are dead after an early Friday morning crash on the westbound Interstate 10 Freeway, according to a press release by the San Bernardino County Sheriff Coroner.
According to the report, a 24-year-old woman was driving a 2001 Ford pickup heading westbound on the I-10 freeway when for unknown reasons she lost control, drove off the roadway and slammed into a tree, the report said. The driver and a 41-year-old passenger in the car both died at the scene.
“This is a tragedy for the family and friends of these two people,” said Attorney James Johnson. “My condolences go out to them as they cope with their sudden loss and try to piece together what happened.”
