SAN BERNARDINO, California (November 24, 2014) – Andrew Barrera, 29, of San Bernardino was killed Thursday night as he was hit by a driver as he attempted to cross the roadway in the 1300 block of East Pacific Street, according to a report by the San Bernardino County Coroner.
The young man was hit by the driver of an older model Toyota Camry that was heading west on Pacific and struck Barrera as he got to the middle of the block about 8 p.m., the report said.

Police are heading up an investigation into the accident to determine liability, but there have been no citations or arrests made at this time. Police do not believe drugs or alcohol are factors in the crash, but they say Barrera was wearing dark colored clothing and wearing head phones at the time he was hit. .
