Woman Injured in San Bernardino Crash on 215 Freeway Near 5th Street
SAN BERNARDINO, CA (September 24, 2021) – A woman was hospitalized after a car crash on the 215 Freeway near 5th Street in San Bernardino.
The California Highway Patrol received a call about the accident on Friday morning. Officers reported the wreck at around 4:39 a.m.
According to their dispatch, two vehicles collided for an unknown reason in the city of San Bernardino. They crashed on the northbound 215 Freeway, just south of 5th Street.
2 Cars Collide
The incident log described the cars involved as a gray Toyota Yaris and a brown colored Toyota. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene.
Medical personnel found a female occupant who ended up suffering from minor injuries as a result of the collision. They took her to the Loma Linda University Health – Murrieta for treatment.
The report did not release the name of the woman and her condition at this time. Meanwhile, CHP forced the northbound lanes of the 215 Freeway to briefly shut down near 5th street following the wreck.
The cause of the San Bernardino crash is still under investigation.
