1 Seriously Injured in San Bernardino Crash on 215 Freeway Near Little League
SAN BERNARDINO, CA (September 17, 2021) – At least one was seriously injured after a crash on the 215 Freeway near Little League Drive in San Bernardino.
The California Highway Patrol dispatch team said the wreck occurred on Friday evening. Officers reported the accident at about 6:20 p.m.
The incident began when the driver of a Kia was traveling at a high rate of speed on the southbound side of the 215 Freeway in San Bernardino.
Speeding Driver Hits Another Vehicle
According to CHP, the Kia then slammed into a truck near Little League Drive. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene.
One person sustained major injuries as a result of the collision. Medical personnel then took the wounded party to a hospital for treatment.
The report did not disclose the name of the patient and their condition at this time. Meanwhile, CHP forced the southbound lanes of 215 Freeway near Little League to shut down following the wreck.
Authorities are still determining the cause of the San Bernardino crash.
