At Least 1 Killed in Collision at Newberry and Fairview Road
San Bernardino County, CA (May 22, 2022) – The California Highway Patrol group reported a deadly car accident that occurred in the area of Newberry and Fairview Road.
Officials said two vehicles collided near Barstow. According to the CHP dispatch, the wreck involved a black Chevrolet Silverado and a black Ford Mustang. Authorities later added a big rig was also found at the crash site but its role in the crash remained unknown.

Shortly after 2:40 p.m., rescue teams arrived at the location. Responding paramedics rendered aid to all possible victims in the collision. After the evaluation, medical personnel sadly pronounced one person dead. The identity of the fatal victim remained undisclosed pending confirmation and notification of next of kin.
The CHP log mentioned fuel from the big rig leaked following the incident.
Investigators stayed in the area the whole afternoon. They continue to work at this time to determine the precise circumstances that led up to the deadly accident at Newberry and Fairview Road.
